Using Munio Learning
Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Munio Learning website and learning portal (the "service") provided by Munio Cyber ("Munio", "we", "us").
Last updated: 25 July 2026Accepting these terms
By registering for or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not register or use the portal. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
Free and Professional learning
Munio Learning provides learner registration and a set of training material without a subscription fee. Optional Professional learning is currently being prepared. Registering interest does not create a trial, payment obligation or subscription. If Munio later offers paid Professional access, the price, duration and applicable terms will be presented for review before you confirm a subscription. You are responsible for your own internet access, device and third-party charges.
Your account and social sign-in
You must provide accurate registration information and use an available social identity provider to sign in. Keep that identity account secure and do not allow another person to use your Munio Learning account. Tell us promptly at learning@muniocyber.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Communications
You may choose to receive newsletters, course updates and relevant marketing material from Munio. Marketing is optional and is not required to create or keep a learner account. You can withdraw your choice at any time using the link in an email or by emailing learning@muniocyber.com. We may still send essential messages about your account, service availability or security. If you ask about Professional or team learning, we may also contact you specifically to respond to that service enquiry; this does not opt you into broader marketing.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully or to harm another person;
- attempt to bypass access controls, test vulnerabilities without written permission, or interfere with the service;
- upload malicious code, automate abusive requests, scrape the service or misuse learning exercises against real systems;
- share your account or impersonate another person; or
- post personal, confidential or customer information in the community, or use it to harass, threaten, discriminate, spam or promote unsafe activity; or
- copy, republish or commercially exploit course material except as these terms or applicable law allow.
Community content and moderation
Registered learners may post plain-text discussions and replies. You remain responsible for content you submit and must have the right to share it. You give Munio a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, protect and improve the service.
Learners can report community content privately. We may hide, remove or retain content, restrict participation, preserve evidence or contact appropriate authorities where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect people or systems, investigate misuse or comply with law. Community contributions are made by learners and are not verified professional advice or statements by Munio.
Learning content and professional advice
The content is for general education. It is not legal, compliance, employment or professional cybersecurity advice for a particular organisation or situation. Training completion does not by itself create a professional qualification, certification or guarantee of employment unless a course expressly states otherwise. Apply security techniques only to systems you own or are authorised to test.
Ownership and permitted use
Munio and its licensors own the service, course material, branding and related intellectual property. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service for your own learning while your account remains active. Any separate download or reuse permission shown with particular material also applies.
Availability and third-party services
We aim to keep the service useful and available, but maintenance, security events and circumstances outside our control may cause interruptions. Social sign-in and other features depend on third-party services with their own terms and policies. We may change, replace or retire content or features as the service develops.
Suspension and closing accounts
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or others, investigate misuse, comply with law or respond to a serious breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. You may ask us to close your account by emailing learning@muniocyber.com.
Responsibility and Australian consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, Munio is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the free service, or for loss caused by your unauthorised or unlawful use.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version will be published here with its updated date. If a change materially affects existing learners, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or by email. Continuing to use the service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. Courts with jurisdiction in Victoria may hear disputes. For questions about these terms, email learning@muniocyber.com.
